Revision to English language proficiency (ELP) requirements for Diagnostic Radiographers and Radiation Therapists

All diagnostic radiography (DR) and radiation therapy (RT) registration applicants using TOEFL for their proof of English Language Proficiency (ELP) will be required to score at least 70 marks instead of 60 for the TOEFL internet-based test.

Dear AHPs,

We would like to inform you that with effect from 1 January 2023, all diagnostic radiography (DR) and radiation therapy (RT) registration applicants using TOEFL for their proof of English Language Proficiency (ELP) will be required to score at least 70 marks instead of 60 for the TOEFL internet-based test.  Applicants must also have a score of at least 15 for each of the four components tested for TOEFL.  Applicants who apply for registration before 1 January 2023 and have not met the ELP requirement by 31 December 2022 will have to meet this new ELP requirement for TOEFL.  There is no change to the ELP score requirement for IELTS and OET for the time being.
